Exchange Club’s Donation Provides Sleep Sacks for Newborns
At a recent meeting of the Exchange Club of Gratiot County, a $250 check was presented to MidMichigan Medical Center–Gratiot. Representing the Medical Center, Kristin Traskie, M.P.H., community education coordinator, is shown accepting the check presented by Exchange Club President and Medical Center Psychiatrist Razvan Adam, M.D. The funds will be used to purchase infant sleep sacks to be sent home with new parents. Infant sleep sacks, also called baby sleeping bags, are considered a safer, more comfortable alternative to traditional loose baby bedding, which has been linked to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
