Boy Scout and Stuffed Animal Donor
Midland, Michigan
"The stuffed animal I received really comforted me during my stay at the hospital and I wanted to give back to other kids."
Local Scout Donates 333 Stuffed Animals to Medical Center
A member of local Boy Scout Troop 6778 and student of Jefferson Middle School, Baldwin went door to door seeking requests for new stuffed animals to be given to young patients of the Medical Center. He also set up donation boxes at his school and local church to assist in the collection. Baldwin choose this project as a result of having received a stuffed toy when he was in the Medical Center for the treatment of diabetes.
“The stuffed animal I received really comforted me during my stay at the hospital and I wanted to give back to other kids,” said Baldwin. “This was an amazing experience, but I couldn’t have done it alone. I had a team of supporters behind me, including my family and friends that helped me reach my goal. I really do hope the children enjoy the toys.”
